Serious Pig Ltd – Terms and Conditions

These terms set out the basis on which we sell you our products and how you use our website. Please read them carefully – they include important details.

1. Who We Are

This website is owned and operated by Serious Pig Ltd, company number 07015461. Our registered address is 7 Bell Yard, London WC2A 2JR.
If you need to contact us:

2. Buying from Us (Non-Account Customers)

Unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing, we need full payment before we can process your order.
Once we’ve received your payment, we’ll confirm your order via email or SMS, and a contract between us will be formed.

3. Buying from Us (Account / Credit Customers)

3.1 Credit terms are strictly 30 days end-of-month unless otherwise agreed. We may ask for references.
Payments should be made to the bank account we provide in writing.

3.2 Late payments? We charge interest at 4% above Barclays’ base rate, calculated daily. This doesn’t apply to invoices you’re disputing in good faith.

3.3 If you do dispute an invoice, let us know straight away in writing. We’ll work with you to resolve it quickly and provide whatever info you reasonably need.

4. Delivery & Returns

4.1 Each delivery comes with a note confirming the order number, date, product details, and any outstanding items (if we’re delivering in parts).

4.2 You can reject products that don’t meet your expectations if you:

  • Spot the issue within 5 business days of delivery (if it’s obvious),

  • Or let us know within a reasonable time if it’s a hidden fault.

4.3 If you don’t notify us within those timeframes, we’ll assume the products are accepted.

4.4 If you reject the goods in time, you can:

  • Ask us to replace or repair the faulty goods (we’ll do this within 5 working days),

  • Or get a full refund.

4.5 Once we’ve replaced or refunded, we won’t be liable for anything else related to that issue.

4.6 These terms also apply to any replacements we send you.

4.7 Risk passes to you on delivery.
Ownership stays with us until we’ve received full payment.

4.8 Until then, you must:

  • Keep the products separate,

  • Leave our labels/packaging intact,

  • Look after them properly.

4.9 You’re free to resell or use the goods in the usual course of business.

4.10 If you go bust before ownership passes, and the products haven’t been resold, we can reclaim them — including entering your premises if needed.

5. Contract Formation

These conditions form the basis of our agreement once you place your order. They override any terms you try to include in your own paperwork or purchasing systems.

6. Offers and Acceptance

Your purchase order is treated as an offer to buy.
We accept that offer only when we confirm in writing (email/SMS counts).

7. Website Use

All content on our website belongs to Serious Pig Ltd or is licensed to us.
You’re welcome to browse for personal, non-commercial use — but you mustn’t copy, modify or reuse anything without our say-so.

8. Website Content

We try to keep everything accurate and up to date — especially product descriptions and pricing.
That said, if a mistake slips through, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust your order.

9. Website Safety

We aim to keep our website virus-free, but we can’t guarantee it.
It’s your responsibility to use the right equipment and protection when browsing. We won’t be liable for damage unless caused by our negligence.

10. Product Availability

All orders are subject to stock.
If something’s unavailable, we’ll contact you to offer an alternative or a refund.

11. Fixing Ordering Errors

You can fix any mistakes in your order up until you click ‘Submit’ at checkout.

12. Pricing

Prices are as shown on the website and include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

13. Specifications

If we can’t supply the exact product you ordered at the stated price, we’ll let you know and offer an alternative. We’ll also tell you how long that offer is valid.

14. Payment Terms

We charge your card or account when you place your order.
If we can’t fulfil the order within 30 days, we’ll offer you the chance to cancel.
We’re not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment info.

15. Delivery Charges

Any delivery charges will be confirmed when you order. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the goods are faulty.

16. Delivery Info

16.1 We only deliver within the UK.
16.2 We’ll deliver to the address you provide. Please check it’s correct.
We’re not liable for losses once the goods are delivered as instructed.
We aim to meet delivery estimates, but delays beyond our control may happen — if they do, we’ll keep you updated.

16.3 Once delivered, the goods are your responsibility.

17. Cancelling an Order

17.1 Food products are exempt from standard distance selling cancellation rights due to their perishable nature. So once your order is confirmed, you can’t automatically cancel it.

17.2 If your order hasn’t yet left our warehouse, we may be able to cancel it. Contact us immediately and we’ll see what’s possible. If already delivered, returns are only accepted if agreed in writing, and the products must be unopened and in original packaging.

17.3 If accepted, we’ll refund you within 30 days. If you don’t return the goods or pay for return shipping, we may deduct our costs from your refund.

17.4 If the goods are faulty, we’ll refund you in full (including return postage).

18. Cancelling by Us

We may cancel your order if:

  • The items are out of stock,

  • We don’t deliver to your area,

  • There’s a pricing or description error.

If so, we’ll notify you and refund any payment within 30 days.

19. Liability

19.1 If your goods don’t arrive within 30 days, you must contact us within 35 days to raise a claim.

19.2 If there’s a problem, we’ll either:

  • Send the missing goods,

  • Replace or repair faulty items, or

  • Refund you.

19.3 We’re only liable for losses that are reasonably foreseeable.

19.4 It’s your responsibility to comply with import/export rules if you’re ordering from outside the UK.

19.5 These terms don’t limit your legal rights as a consumer.

19.6 Nothing excludes our liability for death, personal injury due to our negligence, or fraud.

20. Notices

Unless stated otherwise, all formal notices must be sent in writing to:
Unit 28, Acton Park Business Estate, London, W3 7QE
We may send updates by email or post them on our website.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Check back before ordering — your continued use of the site implies you accept any changes.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

22.1 These terms (and any contracts formed) are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

22.2 Any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.

23. Severability

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest will still apply.

24. Privacy Policy

By using our site, you agree to our privacy policy.

25. Third Party Rights

These terms apply only to you and us — no one else gets any rights from them.

26. Security

We do our best to keep your personal data secure, but we can’t guarantee full protection from online risks unless due to our own negligence.

27. Data Protection
