Nine times out of ten, the confirmation is either lurking in your spam folder or there's a small typo in the email address you entered at checkout (it happens to the best of us). Drop us a line with your name and rough order time and we'll track it down, resend your confirmation and fix the email address on file.

Get in touch as quickly as you can. If your order hasn't left the warehouse yet, we can usually sort it. Once it's on a Royal Mail van, our powers sadly end. Similarly you can cancel an order as long as it hasn't been dispatched. If it is already on it's way to you then you can return it to us for a full refund within 30 days. Please get in touch for a free returns shipping label if you need one.

Yes, you can send anything from Serious Pig as a gift without worrying whether there's a receipt of financial information inside the parcel.

Once your order is dispatched you'll receive an email from our courier with your tracking number and a link to view your parcel's progress. Please note parcels are dispatched Monday to Friday at roughly 4:30PM.

That's not on, and we're sorry. Royal Mail lets us down very rarely, but when they do, contact us with your order number and we'll refund your postage.

Yes, because nitrites have a vital job. In cured meat, a small amount of sodium nitrite keeps harmful bacteria (including botulism!) in check - so it wouldn't be safe to make these snacks without it. What we can control is how much. Our meats are cured using the lowest possible level of nitrite that does the job - 50 parts per million, in line with the Soil Association's standard, and a fraction of the 250ppm typical in mass-produced cured meats. So yes, nitrite appears on the ingredients list, in the smallest amount needed to keep things safe. No cure accelerators, no colour fixers, no shortcuts, just the most honest, low-intervention way to cure meat. We should also note that were nitrites have been found to be carcinogenic, it has been in cooked products such as bacon and sausages. This is because at high temperatures nitrates can change into harmful chemicals. Our cured meats do not need to be cooked, so there is no chance of this happening.

Yes - every snack we make is gluten free.

On every product page and on every packet. Allergens are highlighted in bold in the ingredients list, as UK law requires. If you have a question the label doesn't answer, ask us - we'd rather check with our producers twice than have anyone take a chance.

None of our snacks contain nuts as an ingredient. However, our Corn Scratchings carry a precautionary warning: they may contain traces of peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, milk and egg, as they're made in an environment that handles these. If you have a nut allergy, we'd suggest steering clear of the Corn Scratchings and enjoying the rest of the range.

Our Snacking Cheese is made with pasteurised milk.

We work with a select few farms in Kent, who allow pigs to live outside. They are free to roam in large fields to ensure they get plenty of exercise and maintain good health, therefore providing top quality pork.

Everything is perfectly happy outside of the fridge - our snacks are made to be shelf stable, which is rather the point of a pub snack. No chilling, no fussing; a cupboard will do nicely. As for how long they last: our crisps are the shortest dated, sold with three to six months of shelf life, and everything else lasts considerably longer - our pickles and corn snacks arrive with at least six months on them. So whatever you order will have at least three months of life at the point of purchase, which means you can safely buy well ahead of a wedding, Christmas, or any occasion that requires forward planning. The exact best before date is printed on every packet.

We are B Corp certified since July 2025. In plain English: B Corp certification means an independent non - profit (B Lab) has assessed the whole business - how we treat our people, our suppliers, our community and the planet - against rigorous standards, and we're legally required to consider all of those alongside profit. Any brand can call itself responsible; the point of B Corp is that you don't have to take our word for it. Our score is published on the B Corp directory for anyone to inspect Serious Pig's B Lab profile.

Serious Pig is an accredited Living Wage Employer, which means everyone who works for us is paid at least the real Living Wage. That's a formal, audited accreditation, not a claim we've awarded ourselves.

Honestly: some of our packaging is kerbside recyclable today and some isn't yet, because flexible film that keeps food fresh for months without a fridge is one of recycling's harder problems. However, UK council's are adopting new recycyling technology that will make more of our packaging recyclable from home by 2030. Rather than wait for that to happen, we've also pledged that by 2030 our plastic packaging will contain at least 30% recycled content and where necessary we will invest in new packaging materials to ensure 100% of our packaging can be recycled at home anywhere in the UK. Check the label on each pack for current disposal instructions.

As a B Corp we're assessed on this and reassessed regularly, so it's not a one-off pledge but a standing obligation. Current work includes moving our pouches to recycled - content film, meeting our packaging responsibilities under the UK's Extended Producer Responsibility scheme, and working with our suppliers on everything from clean energy consumption to animal welfare.
