    SAUSAGE CRISPS WITH AMBER ALE

    Sausage Crisps want a beer with a bit of malt to it. The sweet, peppery seasoning plays right into the biscuit and caramel notes of a proper amber ale, each one bringing out the best in the other. A clean lager does the job too, but with ale is when they sing.

  • PICKLE CRISPS WITH SESSION IPA

    Dill and pickle crisps want a crisp, citrussy pour to play against the tang - a session IPA or a hazy pale does it best, the bright hops cutting through the acidity while the lighter body keeps things refreshing between handfuls. A sharp cider works too if you fancy leaning into the sourness.

DO THEY ACTUALLY TASTE OF PICKLE?

They do. The flavour comes from the mind of Adam Evans of The Crisp Review, a man who has reviewed more crisps than is medically advisable, so the balance of tangy vinegar and proper dill has been given far more thought than any crisp reasonably deserves.

ARE SAUSAGE CRISPS VEGAN OR VEGETARIAN?

Yes and yes. We appreciate that a company called Serious Pig selling sausage crisps with no meat in them raises questions.

The trick is that a sausage's personality lives in its seasoning, not its meat - so we took the classic mix (sage, onion, white pepper, nutmeg, mace, a little smoked paprika) and put it on a hand cooked crisp instead.
